| "I can't believe you're going to take that computer back to the store. It still works and you need it for school." Andrea said.
"I don't want it." Carrie stated.
"But taking it back is foolish. You bought the last one and those things will never be three hundred pops again. You should just keep it and just deal with it." Andrea protested.
"No, I'm taking it back. Give me that tape." Carrie said.
"I can't believe you. Look, I'll buy it from you. Mine is acting weird and I really need one for class just in case mine decides to catch fire in the middle of lab." Andrea stated.
"No, this thing is going back to the store. There, that should do it. I can say that it was never opened and that it was a gift." Carrie said.
Carrie threw the wide roll of tape onto the hardwood floor beside her. She pressed her hands along the top portion of the large cardboard box and she smoothed the layers of cellophane adhesive that rested atop the tightly secured flaps of the container.
"Okay, so what do you want me to do with these?" Angie asked.
Angie raised a small plastic bag that was filled with an assortment of compact discs, booklets and glimmering silver decals.
"I can't believe that you kept that! You know I have to put everything back in order to get my refund! Oh, now I'm gonna have to rip the tape off of this box which will totally ruin the cardboard and will probably make those sales people knock of twenty five dollars of my refund for a restocking fee. Honestly, Angie. How could you do that to me?" Carrie asked.
"Well, I didn't do it on purpose. I just sorta forgot while you were ranting about the evils of Electro Prime stores." Angie replied.
Carrie ripped at the thick slices of tape from the top of the cardboard box. She crushed the adhesive strips of cellophane into small spheres before she tossed them on the floor. She opened the flaps of the box and she leaped to her feet. She moved to Angie and she thrust out her hand.
"Give me the bag so I can wrap it up." Carrie commanded.
"Okay, but don't you think we should at least take this thing to the cops? I'm sure that somebody is missing it." Angie stated.
Angie shook the bag in her hand.
Three severed fingers and a blood crusted ear slapped against the shining compact discs and silver decals inside the interior of the satchel.
"No, if they're missing them they can take their chances at Electro Prime just like everybody else. Now hurry up and give me the bag. The store will be closing in a half hour and I want my money today."
